How much food will a person eat in a lifetime? The answer to this question probably varies wildly depending on what country you live in. In poorer countries, they probably don't eat nearly the equivalent of 15,000 paperback copies of Stephen King's "Eyes of the Dragon" or even 5,000 iPod Shuffles...
Consider giving! My so-called friends who ignore my emails will tell you I recommend (read "shill for") World Vision. They have secured food aid grants from U.S. government agencies - such as the US Agency for International Development and US Department of Agriculture - to provide relief in current crisis areas like Darfur. When the matching funds are applied from these grants, the combined impact of each private donation collected is calculated to be about 8 times its face value.
Knock yourselves out! But try to remember others less fortunate.
Wouldn't kill ya to answer an email once in a while - you DO ignore the emails ;-) Don't get testy though, ding dong - I know you give at the office.
People I ask for support do seem to fall in to two categories. The first are people who are already giving in some way shape or form, like you, and a few other friends who respond to my emails and say "I'm already doing something..." Some even sponsor WorldVision kids already.
The second category are those who do nothing, and don't respond, and who could probably care less. Am I being harsh? Maybe. But maybe being harsh will get their goat and they'll buy a kid a goat in return... Ya never know.
Good to hear from you, Erica!
I know, I know...I need to respond. I promise that I will email. I'm bored now - I should go work on it now!
Nah - I'm just giving you a hard time. Feel free to filter me to the "deleted" folder! :-D

Your "so-called friend", Erica, doesn't ignore your emails. She CHOOSES to not give to World Vision. Not because I believe it's an unworthy charity, because of course, it is an excellent charity. I just give already - at the office, at the house, in my spare time, etc. to another charity. Namely, the one I work for - The Salvation Army. Good on ya, though for supporting World Vision.
